FAQ

Getting here: The Waukesha County Museum is located at 101 W. Main Street in downtown Waukesha.

From I-94: take exit #295 (Hwy. F) south approximately 2.5 miles. Turn left on Barstow. Turn left on Main Street. The museum is on the right.

From Hwy 43: take exit 54 for Racine Ave. heading north on Racine. Continue on Racine until Buchner Park, there will be a stop sign at the intersection. Turn left onto College Ave. At the stoplight turn right onto East Ave. Take East Ave to Main Street, the museum will be on the left.

Main entrance: Located on Main Street, juts off the circle drive. Buses may pull into the drive for drop off & pick up.

Parking: There is parking on Main Street, East Avenue, and Martin Street. A city parking lot, Barstow Lot is one block west of the museum.

Refer to street signs for time limits and restrictions when parking your vehicle(s). Busses can park anywhere around the building but may find it easier to park in the public lot located across from the liquor store at the corner of Barstow and Main.

When you arrive: Please check in with a greeter at the desk. They will assist you in starting your visit.
