Intergenerational Heritage Fair
The Intergenerational Heritage Fair is a fun & engaging learning opportunity for 3rd-5th grade students. Students will explore a unique learning environment that matches hands-on learning with one-on-one instruction. Our goal is to foster knowledge sharing and learning across generations, while reinforcing classroom content and learning standards.
Enjoy the Intergenerational Heritage Fair in-person at the Waukesha County Museum – Spring 2024 April 29th and 30th.
Intergenerational Heritage Fair: Field Trip Experience
This program is an in-person experience. We always believe this to be the BEST way to learn about history, by immersing yourself in it! The Heritage Fair is a 2-hour field trip experience divided into two 1-hour segments: Exhibit Tables and Presentations.
At the Exhibit Tables, students will be able to explore at their leisure a multitude of various activities and crafts from Woodworking to Rug Making to Aviation and more!
During the Presentations, students will get a more in-depth look at a single idea, historic topic, or theme. Previous break-out sessions may include Victorian Etiquette, Folk Music and Instruments, Bagpipes, and more!
Program Fee: $5 per student, with 1 free chaperone for every 10 students attending.
Spring 2024: The Intergenerational Heritage Fair: Field Trip Experience will be held – April 29th and April 30th at the Waukesha County Historical Society and Museum. Reach out to our Program & Education Coordinator to sign up!
Les Paul Maker Kits
The kits will teach STEAM concepts using Les Paul as a focal point. Kits will explore sound, how it is created, how it is altered, and how we hear sound all through conceptual crafts. If you would like Maker Kits for your class contact the museum for cost. Education@wchsm.org
