SUMMARY:Grave Tales
DESCRIPTION:Presented by the Waukesha County Historical Society & Museum\, in partnership with Prairie Home Cemetery. \nJoin us on Friday\, October 3rd\, for a guided tour of the cemetery where you will be visited by several historical spirits. The tours will run about 1 hour as visitors walk from grave to grave to hear unique perspectives on Waukesha’s history. \nTours begin at 5 PM and run every half hour. There are only 30 slots per timed session\, so book quickly! \nAccessibility: Visitors will be walking/standing on both paved roads and uneven grass. A restroom will be available before or after the tour. \nTICKET PRICING: \n\n$25 NON-MEMBERS\n$20 MEMBERS\n$15 STUDENTS\nFREE CHILDREN UNDER 5\n\nTo order tickets\, visit our ticket site\, or call/visit the museum. \nTo receive the member discount on this and other museum\, becoming a WCHSM Member today. \nNOTE: ONE FREE ADMISSION to Night at the Museum\, October 4th\, with purchase of a Grave Tales ticket. \nPlease arrive 5-10 minutes early and bring: comfortable walking shoes\, appropriate rain/winter gear\, and/or a flashlight. Park along Prairie Avenue and walk into the cemetery; the tour will start by the chapel. \nCancellation Policy:\nTickets must be canceled 24 hours in advance. Refunds cannot be issued with less than 24-hour notice.\nWCHSM reserves the right to cancel the program due to severe weather. Mild inclement weather will not result in a program cancellation.

SUMMARY:October 2025 Lunch and Learn
DESCRIPTION:The Grace Lusk Trial  \nAlthough the story of the murder of Mary Roberts by Grace Lusk is familiar to many in Waukesha\, the details of Grace’s trial and conviction are a story onto itself. In this presentation\, John Schoenknecht will focus on the details of Grace’s trial in the very courtroom in which it happened. The story of “Waukesha’s Love Triangle” was featured in newspapers across the country.\n\nJohn Schoenknecht is a retired Waukesha Public School art teacher. He is the author of several books about Waukesha history\, wrote a history column for the Waukesha Freeman\, edits Landmark magazine and volunteers in the Huelsman Family Research Center.\n\nRefund Policy- Contact the Organizer to request a fund.\n\nTickets: \n\n$28 – Nonmembers with a Box Lunch of choice\n$25 – Members with a Box Lunch of Choice\n$10 – Program only\, no lunch\n\nRochester Deli’s box lunches include a sandwich\, chips\, and a dessert. All sandwiches are on multi-grain bread* with leaf lettuce\, tomato\, with mayo and brown mustard on the side. Sandwich options include: Roast Turkey\, Taven Ham\, Angus Roat Beef\, Chicken Breast Salad\, Egg Salad\, Tuna Salad\, and Grilled Veggie. \nA link to submit your box lunch choice will be listed in your confirmation email after purchasing tickets. Please make sure to submit your choices by 4 pm on the Friday before the event. If you do not submit a lunch choice\, the default option of Turkey will be ordered for you. Water will be provided. \nWhat if I need to cancel my order? Rochester Deli needs the lunch order by the Friday before the Lunch & Learn date.
